The Countryside of Malaga
Nature lovers will find in the province of Málaga one of the most attractive and differing landscapes. Many people described this region as a small continent, because of the stunning coastline, the crossing mountain ranges (with mountains up to 2000m), the numerous parks and valleys, this is the reason that makes this part of Spain unique. In this area you still can find a rare sort of tree (pinsapo pine), which originally is from the ice age and it survives only here in this part of Spain because of the special climatic conditions.
In the capital itself you can find numerous parks and gardens, to have a small rest after a strenuous stroll in the city. Málaga is also an ideal destination for a break holiday. The good transportation links and the big variety of Malaga, offers visitors a unforgettable stay and a lot of new things to get to know the city, that is situated in the sunniest part of Spain.

Our starting point is the municipal tourist office at the Plaza de la Marina, where you have the opportunity to equip yourself with a city map and all the necessary information.
From this point we start our journey on the "Paseo del Parque", situated near the port, strolling along the impressive colors between the green plants and palm world and with the blue of the ocean to enjoy. Passing by the imposing town hall you get to a large, beautifully designed roundabout from which the mighty fortress of the "Castillo de Gibralfaro, is going to be the next stop. After this short and sportive ascension, you will be compensated by the unique view of the city. With these great first impressions, we return to the "Alcazaba". For this palace of the Moorish kings, you should plan some time to admire the ruins.
